ABOUT
Peripheral Vision is an independent press dedicated to expanding critical dialogues about American art through visionary publication and curatorial initiatives. Launched in 2016 by Texas artist and art historian Scott Gleeson, Peripheral Vision has commissioned 183,000 words of content for 148 artists, publishing both long and short form essays, as well as interviews and artist profiles. Beginning as a single digital journal, Peripheral Vision has evolved into an art book press now publishing two distinctive periodicals covering the work of mid-career American artists under recognized in critical publications. Periodicals
Peripheral Vision, a biannual print journal with corresponding digital content, pairs artists with scholars for long-form interpretive criticism in conjunction with our prestigious Publication Fellowship program.
Not Yet Titled (NYT) is our new journal covering the vanguard of contemporary American art, with content curated through open submissions from artists + scholars and by invitation. Maybe we'll give it a title, maybe we won't!
