In this solo presentation of work by artist Raven Halfmoon, curator Georgia Erger traces the iconography of Halfmoon's ceramic busts to traditional Caddo visual culture, situating the artist's practice within the history of indigenous art and contemporary conversations about the politics of identity.
Artist David Knox creates ephemeral encounters about the phenomenology of experience and intersubjectivity, using breath, light, language, and movement as his primary media. In this exhibition, culture critic and novelist Joe Milazzo curates a selection of Knox's videos and photographic images around intersecting themes of immateriality, responsiveness, and intimacy.
